For nearly 250 years, our University has served this city, the nation, and the world through the discovery, dissemination, and preservation of knowledge. We embrace an open curriculum, cultivate a spirit of free inquiry, and support a distinctive approach to life and learning. We are ever bold.

In our continuing drive for excellence, the University has recently chosen eight areas on which to focus our fundraising efforts for the foreseeable future. We expect that, by pursuing these key priorities and our annual giving goals, we will continue to open novel paths of research, develop pioneering multidisciplinary programs, create new facilities for learning and living, build institutional pride, and affirm our commitment to making a Brown education possible for promising students from all circumstances.
